The art and culture department in the Pankow district office has announced its funding instruments for the district's independent art and culture scene. As berlin.de reports, grant applications for project and infrastructure funding in the 2026 financial year can now be submitted until October 15, 2025. This support is aimed at artists, individuals, initiatives and associations who want to make a contribution to cultural diversity in Pankow.
Project funding enables grants of up to 10,000 euros per project and includes all artistic divisions. What is new is that additional expenses for accessibility and special grants for artists: inside with impairments, neurodiversions and chronic diseases can also be applied for. A total of 155,000 euros are expected to be available for project funding.
Infrastructure funding
In addition to project funding, infrastructure funding is offered, which is specifically aimed at independent art and cultural institutions that do not receive regular funding. Financial resources can be applied for for new technical purchases, qualifications and advice, although construction work is excluded. The maximum application amount is 7,500 euros per year.

Funding criteria and eligibility to apply
The funding criteria range from supporting young artists to projects with marginalized perspectives.
