On August 30, 2025, the Eisbären Berlin met in Klagenfurt, Austria, for the start of the Champions Hockey League (CHL), but suffered a narrow defeat. Klagenfurt AC defeated Berlin 3-2. The game was exciting with the Eisbären taking the lead early on.
