Nine years of poetry premiere: Ulrich Grasnick Prize 2025 in Adlershof!

The ninth award ceremony of the Ulrich Grasnick Poetry Prize will take place on September 12, 2025 at the Alte Schule Adlershof cultural center. The audience and interested guests are cordially invited to this occasion when the winners of the poetry competition are announced. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. with the welcome of Marco Brauchmann, the district councilor for further education, schools, culture and sport. This year the theme of the competition is “Answer to Colors” and a total of 544 entries were submitted, which will now be evaluated by a top-class jury.

The jury consists of various competent members, including the chairman York Friday, the winner of 2024, Britta Lübbers, and other experts such as Leonie Köhler, Bianca Körner, Katharina Körting, Michael Manzek and Dr. Martin A. Völker. Not only the winners are honored with the poetry award, but also celebrated the creative diversity of German -language poetry.

The nominations for the price were published anonymously on June 15, 2025. The nominees include:

The 2025 winners are Susanne Rodler, who takes first place, followed by Chris Lauer in second place. These awards will be recognized in a public reading during the awards ceremony, where the other nominated authors will also present their works.

Publications and musical accompaniment

The event will be accompanied musically by Victor and Valentin Hoffmann. An anthology entitled “Answer to Colors” will also be published. This anthology, edited by Jörg Becken at KLAK Verlag, collects poems by around 100 authors who took part in the competition. The literary contributions should impressively reflect the diversity and creativity of German-language poetry.
