Neighborhood walk in Hellersdorf: Discover your neighborhood!
Next Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, the district mayor of Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Nadja Zivkovic, invites you to a district walk entitled “Walk and Talk”. This event offers residents and interested parties the opportunity to get to know their district better, discover local projects and talk directly to other citizens. How reported, the event begins at 4:00 p.m. (previously 6:00 p.m.) in front of the Office for Social Affairs on Riesaer Straße 94.
The event is expected to end at 6:00 p.m. at the district information center at Hellersdorfer Straße 159. Participants should wear weatherproof clothing as the event partially takes place outdoors. Participation is free and open to everyone, whether local or interested from outside.
Diverse insights into the district
The “Walk and Talk” is more than just a walk; it also offers insights into the diverse aspects of the district, including green oases, busy squares and various urban development projects. During this walk, both Nico Eißner and a team from “Space for Participation” support the district mayor in order to give citizens valuable perspectives on local initiatives. As explained in a related report, participants can take advantage of numerous dialogue opportunities.
Citizen participation plays a crucial role in urban development, as well shown becomes. This includes active planning and change processes that address social, economic and ecological issues. The event is therefore also an opportunity to exchange ideas about urban developments and to actively participate in shaping the future of the district.
