On September 12, 2025, the ninth Ulrich Grasnick Poetry Prize was awarded at the Alte Schule Adlershof cultural center. The event attracted numerous guests who were looking forward to a public reading and a celebration of poetry. The district councilor for further education, schools, culture and sport, Marco Brauchmann, warmly welcomed those present.
The theme of this year's poetry competition was “Response to Colors.” The competition, organized by the Treptow-Köpenick district office, received a total of 544 entries. Submissions for the competition were possible until March 15, 2025 and were aimed at German-speaking authors aged 16 and over. The poems should include two self-written, unpublished works and be submitted to an anonymous jury for evaluation. The evaluation criteria related to linguistic expression and imagery, and the jury's decision could not be appealed.
The sponsor Ulrich Grasnick ensured the publication and preservation of the documents and a valuable antiquarian book. The entire event was a tribute to the poetry and creativity of the participants.
