Long Night of Museums: Experience love and culture in Berlin!

On Saturday, August 26, 2025, the 43rd Long Night of Museums will take place in Berlin. Under the motto “Love”, 75 museums are taking part in this traditional event. In total, more than 750 events are offered that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of museums.

The announcement of the Long Night was made in the Bode Museum by Moritz van Dülmen, the managing director of Kulturprojekte Berlin. This special night starts at 6pm and ends at 2am. The event website offers helpful route recommendations, such as “In Love through Berlin” or “Howl!”, which deal with heartache. [rbb24]

Offers and access

Visitors can look forward to express tours that last a maximum of 30 minutes. Access to the museums is also made easier by four shuttle bus lines that go to museums outside of Berlin-Mitte. Senator for Culture Sarah Wedl-Wilson emphasizes how important it is to ensure access to cultural offerings even in financially challenging times.

The project manager Annette Meier was pleased about the high number of participants of 75 museums; almost all museums within the S-Bahn ring will be represented. The ticket prices are attractive: children's tickets are free, reduced tickets cost 17 euros, and the full price is 23 euros.

Review and future

Last year, 45,000 people took advantage of the opportunity to take part in the Long Night of Museums. This shows the great interest of Berliners in cultural events. The event website also provides further information about the routes and meeting points. Those interested can view this information directly on the event pages: for the meeting point on Museum Island [langenachtdermuseen.berlin] and for the route recommendations [langenachtdermuseen.berlin].

The Long Night of the Museums promises a magical night full of art, culture and encounters that is expected to attract all Berliners and visitors from all over the city.
