Kiezfest at JuJo: Family Olympics and music fun for everyone!
On September 20, 2025, a happy neighborhood festival took place at the Johannisthal (JuJo) youth center in Berlin. The event started at 2 p.m. and offered a variety of activities and entertainment for families, children, teenagers and adults. Admission was just 1 euro, making the festival an affordable leisure option for all visiting families. The main attraction was a family Olympics with ten varied game stations that challenged skill, speed and team spirit.
The event was a real highlight in the neighborhood and attracted numerous visitors. A thank you goes to Audio e.V., who supported this festival with financial resources. In addition to the family Olympics, there was also children's face painting, a participatory music theater and a puppet theater, which thrilled the little guests.
Cultural performances
Another highlight were the musical performances that enriched the festival. The stage witnessed various performances including capoeira, cheerleading and a concert by Linda and the SKAboys who played ska, rocksteady and reggae classics. The performances offered something for everyone and provided great entertainment. The children and families could also look forward to culinary offerings such as pizza, a barbecue stand, waffles and cake.
The event was also quite well received in terms of feedback from visitors. The combination of exercise, cultural entertainment and delicious food created a welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved. The Kiezfest aims to promote community and friendship and strengthen social bonds within the district. Such festivals are an excellent opportunity to network and actively experience the neighborhood.
