Big concert highlight: Britz summer events start in the Kulturbunker!
The concert series “Your Summer (in the Park*)” started successfully in Körnerpark and is now moving to Britz after four exciting concerts. From August 2nd, 2025, the event will be moved to the roof of the Kulturbunker at Rungiusstrasse 17. This is happening as part of the celebrations for 650 years of Britz, like berlin.de reported.
The first series of concerts offered visitors a colorful mix of ska, pop, reggae, soul, funk, Brazilian electro and jazz. Despite the adverse weather conditions, the participants celebrated exuberantly with singing and dancing in the Körnerpark. The opening of the new venue in Britz will be celebrated with JUWEEL on August 2nd, 2025 at 6 p.m. The performers this evening are notable artists, including Nika, winner of the Sound@V Newcomer Prize 2022, D.A.R.I.O., who has already completed over 150 shows and supported the likes of Kool Savas and Paula Hartmann on stage, and Don Tox, whose creative influences come from Cameroon, France and Germany.
Dates and program in Britz
During the concert series, which lasts until August 23, 2025, the concerts will take place every Saturday at 6 p.m. First, there will also be warm-up street art workshops from 4 p.m., led by artist Nancy Rhode from Loveart. The other artists such as DJ Mala, who combines Afrobeats, dancehall and hip hop, and Carmel Zoum, who performs with dancehall legends, promise an exciting musical experience.
- Termine im Kulturbunker: 02. August – 23. August 2025, immer samstags um 18 Uhr.
- Ort: Rungiusstraße 19, 12347 Berlin (U-Bahnhof Grenzallee).
- Begleitprogramm: Graffiti- und Streetart-Workshop, Afrobeat Tanz- und Trommel-Workshop, Rap-Workshop, Bastelangebote und Kinderschminken.
In addition, there are also performances in the Nordpark (Knight's Castle Playground) on the program, which will take place every Sunday at 5 p.m. from August 31st to September 21st, 2025. These events offer a variety of accompanying programs, including children's storytelling and adventure workshops, as well as drumming workshops and children's theater.
Diverse culture for everyone
The entire concert series and the associated events are free and take place outdoors, so that all interested visitors are welcome without being forced to consume. This initiative not only promotes local culture but also the communal experience.
For detailed information about the workshops and artists, the locations in the respective districts are also listed. For further information about the concert series, we recommend taking a look at berlin.de.
