Drug controls in Berlin: Police are rigorous in traffic controls!
In a massive flash operation, the Berlin police have been searching traffic for drugs over the last three days! As part of the 6th Berlin DiS Days, which took place from September 16th to 18th, 2025, over 180 officers - including customs and Brandenburg police - snooped behind the wheel. A total of 751 vehicles and 782 people were checked. The result is alarming: 45 drivers were ordered to have their blood taken because of drug use!
The results of the controls are a real shock! 44 people had to answer for driving under the influence of drugs. In addition, there were 24 cases of driving without a license and numerous other violations, including forgery, compulsory insurance and even weapons violations! The defects in two vehicles were so serious that they were confiscated - and eight vehicles were decommissioned! The police have sent a strong message and informed citizens about the dangers of drugs and alcohol behind the wheel. This operation clearly shows that drugs have no place on our streets!
