Qi Gong is a Chinese form of meditation and exercise that has a centuries-old tradition and aims to bring body, mind and soul into harmony. Students learn initial exercises to strengthen and care for the three Dantians, energetic centers in the abdominal area, chest area and head area. In addition to these exercises, the program also includes relaxation and stretching movements as well as gentle activations and self-massages.
The basics of Qi Gong
Traditional Chinese Medicine defines physical, mental and spiritual states through the flow of life energy Qi in meridians. Qi Gong regulates the flow of Qi through targeted movements, breathing and imagination, making it a self-active method within TCM. It is described as an optimal practice for balancing energetic deficits and promoting well-being. Through regular exercises, practitioners can activate their self-healing powers and sustainably improve their health. The positive effects are not only limited to the physical level, but also include emotional and mental aspects, such as increasing the ability to concentrate and clearing blockages.
According to the statements of medical-qigong.org Qi Gong aims to harmonize Qi and remove blockages. Each exercise addresses specific energy channels and organs, allowing for individual adaptation. In the courses for Medical Qi Gong, which are led by experienced alternative practitioners such as Ingrid Weist and Helmut Rothweiler, participants can get to know various special forms that are tailored to individual complaints. These include, among other things, exercises for respiratory diseases, back and joint problems, and tumor diseases.
The practice and its benefits
Qi Gong classes not only offer an opportunity for physical exercise, but also for mental relaxation. The exercises are carried out consciously and meditatively, which strengthens the connection between breathing, movement and imagination. Participants therefore benefit in many ways, including a positive impact on physical health and an improvement in mental well-being. The term “Qi Gong,” which means “method of life energy,” was coined in the 1950s, but the exercises themselves have historical roots that go back a long way.
The event in Spandau is an excellent introduction to experiencing Qi Gong for yourself and the... experience-qigong.de to explore the versatile exercises described to care for body, mind and soul. Those interested are invited to wear comfortable clothing and non-slip shoes to make the most of their experience. Participation promises not only an insight into this valuable practice, but also a feeling of community and relaxation.
