Restrictions on daycare vouchers: Parents should act now!
Due to necessary modernization measures of the ISBJ software, the specialist daycare/after-school care voucher service in Berlin is currently only available to a limited extent. As the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family only limited information and notifications can be issued in this context.
Parents are advised to send their concerns via email to the address jugendammtagesbetreuung@ba-sz.berlin.de to send. Certain information is required for rapid processing. The email should include the child's name, date of birth, address and file number (if known). Emails are read daily and responses are received within a week, depending on the urgency of the issue.
Telephone availability
In addition to email inquiries, a telephone hotline is also available. This is available Monday to Wednesday, Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Concerns can also be expressed by telephone, with feedback provided promptly. However, due to the current situation, inquiries are only being processed to a limited extent, and restrictions are also to be expected when it comes to information.
The Berlin authorities are working intensively to ensure the functionality of the new specialist procedure. We ask for your understanding for the temporary restrictions. Modernization is a step towards more efficient administration, but the challenges it poses may cause short-term inconveniences.
