Bureaucratic reduction: DBB calls for active investments for administrative modernization
A sharp look into the future: The National Stand Control Council (NKR) publishes its annual report and the message is clear! Bureaucratism costs in Germany should fall, but what is really behind this hope?
On October 1, 2024, the report was presented in Berlin, and the numbers show light and shadow. Ulrich Silberbach, the head of the DBB, admits: "We can see relief for the economy, but the burdens for the administration remain enormous." The pressure in the administration is still great! Despite the slight relief, the bureaucracy has a firm grip on the public service.
fight against bureaucracy: a necessary undertaking
The NKR demands ambitious steps! The vision? 25 percent less bureaucracy costs within four years. But how is that supposed to succeed? Silberbach warns: "The savings must be invested in the administrations again!" In order to advance digitization and to remedy the structural weaknesses of the public service, a rethink is necessary.
Reality looks different. While the economy can breathe a sigh of relief by reduced bureaucracy costs, the administration is still overwhelmed with legal requirements. Silberbach speaks of unacceptable condition in times of scarce health insurers and lack of staff. "We not only have to avoid the growth, but also urgently simplify the right to exist," he demands.
A call to invest for a better future
The signs are on change, but the way there is rocky. So the NKR report is not just a document, but a wake-up call: it is time to follow the words. The Federal Government is required to actively use the savings to promote innovations in the public service!
A clear appeal to all decision -makers that actively shape the future - for modern administration and an economically strong nation!
