On the night of yesterday there was a dramatic traffic accident in Alt-Hohenschönhausen, which resulted in two injuries. A 60-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle on Ferdinand-Schultze-Straße around 10 p.m., drove over a traffic island and collided head-on with the car of a 49-year-old. Both cars suffered serious damage and were no longer drivable.
The 49-year-old suffered painful fractures to his leg and arm and was immediately taken to hospital. The woman also complained of chest pain and was taken to hospital by emergency services for treatment. Ferdinand-Schultze-Straße was completely closed until around 10:45 p.m. during the accident investigation and rescue efforts. A specialist police department for traffic offenses from Police Directorate 3 (East) has taken over the investigation.
