There was a dramatic incident in Kreuzberg yesterday afternoon! A 22-year-old was arrested after attempting to rob another man. On the corner of Obentrautstrasse and Mehringdamm, he demanded cash from his victim and pulled out a handgun, which he showed him threateningly. The victim tried to escape, but the aggressive perpetrator hit him in the head with the weapon before he fled from the authorities without any loot.
The police were able to catch the suspect nearby and found a live pistol with conspicuous cartridges. He is no stranger - there was already an arrest warrant against him for an earlier robbery. The arrested man was taken into police custody and must now undergo identification processing. Today he is standing before an investigating judge who will examine another arrest warrant against him. The specialist commissioner of Police Directorate 5 is taking care of further investigations.
