Vernissage by Koki van Trotten: Art meets music in the KIEZKLUB Vital!

On October 9, 2025, a vernissage with the artist Koki van Trotten will take place in the Vital neighborhood club in Berlin. The event begins at 6 p.m. and promises an exciting evening for art lovers. The neighborhood club is located at Myliusgarten 20 and offers a platform for various cultural events that bring the local community together.

Koki van Trotten, who was born in East Berlin, grew up in a family of physicists and discovered her passion for painting early on. Her artistic career began with studying architecture at the Technical University of Berlin from 1993 to 1998, followed by comprehensive creative activities in the fields of painting and plastic art. In addition to her 40 solo exhibitions and 18 group exhibitions, she has 16 years of experience as a lecturer.

Koki van Trotten's career

Her academic career is impressive: During her architectural studies, she also took courses in plastic art and geometry and devoted herself intensely to draw and paint. This well -founded training helps her to develop its own visual language that is expressed in her work. Van Trotten has also gained international experience, with study trips to Asia, America and Europe between 1995 and 1999, which expanded its artistic horizon.

In the years after her studies, she worked as a freelance architect in Berlin and increasingly devoted herself to painting, deepening her know-how in art therapy. Her creativity finds an expression in various areas, from painting and graphics to vernissages and readings in Berlin, which she realized between 2003 and 2004. Since 2017 she has set up her studio in Kalkseestrasse in Berlin, where she regularly works on projects.

Cultural support in Berlin

The art scene of Berlin is diverse and alive - with more than 150 museums, about 350 galleries and over 8000 visual artists. Due to this bloom, the city offers numerous platforms, also for aspiring artists such as van Trotten, who can present their works. Current developments in the cultural sector, such as the support program for studios, are worrying because the contracts for 368 work rooms run out and support for art projects is at risk.

The vernissage in the Vital neighborhood club is also accompanied by musical performances by the Berlin Baritonsaxophonduo Kunibert Rudolph and Achim Kleiner. This will not only be a visual, but also an acoustic enrichment of the Berlin art scene.

For more information about the event and upcoming events in the Kiezklub Vital, it is advisable to visit the website of the city of Berlin. The engagement of the creative community in Berlin remains a fascinating topic that not only finds its way into the galleries of the city, but also in the hearts of the citizens.
