In Eisenhüttenstadt, the preparations are driven at full speed. Thousands of sandbags are filled to reinforce dikes - the fight against the water now begins! "Our priority is to stay in front of the situation and prepare us as much as possible," explains Dirk Ulrich, the head of operations for the state association Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt. The planning not only runs on a bush, but is precisely coordinated with the different actors in population protection and politics!

The preparations are ongoing and the emergency services are preparing for the unpredictable.
