Mobilfunkrevolution in the district of North Saxony! Telekom has worked in full swing in the past two months and lifted the mobile phone supply in the region to the next level! A new location has been set up and an existing one is now being expanded with the super-fast LTE technology. These steps ensure that people in northern Saxony can now surf more extensively and faster.

Where exactly does this exciting development take place? The two locations are strategically located in Doberschütz and Rackwitz, so that not only the residents, but also the travelers along the railway lines between Leipzig and Saxony-West benefit from the improved supply.

"The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion," explains Georg von Wagner, the company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom. And that is not an empty promise: with 99 mobile radio locations, Telekom already covers 98 percent of households in the district. And the best? At least 37 new locations will be added by 2026!

Telekom is active on 29 existing radio masts to retrofit it with LTE or even the ultra-fast 5G technology. This is a real upgrade for everyone who rely on modern communication!

But all of these renewals also require cooperation. Telekom relies on partnerships with the municipalities and property owners to rent the required areas for new mobile phone locations. There are numerous options for entrepreneurs and private individuals to provide space for new roofs or masts-a win-win situation for everyone!
