Open day: Pankow celebrates together for seniors!
On October 1, 2025, the day of the older person took place in the Pankow district. On this special day, the meeting places of the Pankow Office opened their doors to provide a variety of offers for the interested public. This initiative aims to promote community, participation and mutual support among the older citizens. Visitors had the opportunity to take part in movement and creative offers, to find out more about aging and to make new contacts over coffee and cake. The meeting place on Friedrichshain, located in Friedrichshain 15, 10407 Berlin, offers a diverse program. Among other things, senior gymnastics and creative courses take place here. In addition to the activities in the meeting places, the Senior Network Berlin supports older people who live at home and have at least level of care 1. These people can receive up to 125 euros per month as a relief amount to finance help in the household, support in everyday life or group activities to promote fitness.
