City walk through Berlin: From Potsdamer Straße to the Yorckbrücken
On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the Seniors department of the Spandau district office, Office for Social Affairs, invites you to an exciting journey of discovery through the history of Berlin. The city walk leads the participants from the famous Potsdamer Straße via the general train to the Yorckbrücken. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. on Viktoria-Luise-Platz and ends at Bayerischer Platz underground station around 1:30 p.m.
Potsdamer Straße has a long and eventful history. As one of the most famous streets in Berlin, it was of particular importance in the time of National Socialism. The general train, which built defense systems around Berlin during the 18th century, also has an important historical background.
Participation in the journey of discovery costs € 4 per person. Interested parties can register with Ms. Förster at 90279-6112 or send an email to Andrea.foerster@ba-spandau.berlin.de. The number of participants is limited, so early registration is recommended.
