Start of the season on the citadel: Abba, Pippi and more live!

Spandau, Deutschland - The open-air season on the open-air stage on the Spandau citadel is just around the corner and starts on May 30th with a musical highlight: the tribute show "One Night with Abba". berlin.de informs that the varied program offers a mix of known classics and new formats. In addition to the opening with ABBA, various artists will also be on stage, including I Dolci Signori, the Italian world hits, as well as the Berlin Beat Club, the music from the 1960s and 1970s.

A special highlight in the season is the concert "Dancing Queen", in which the loud Compagney Berlin connects the sound of the rock band Queen with baroque elements. This concert is accompanied by the talented saxophonist Asya Fateyeva. Another offer suitable for families is the puppet theater piece "The Berlin Town Musicians", which is shown by the Zitadelle Theater. Here the spectators learn the captivating story of cow, wolf, cat and sparrow who are looking for a better life.

Visitors can also look forward to the group The Hidden Keys, which will offer a musical experience from radio, blues and world music. The Neiners transform well-known melodies into rousing SKA beat hymns, while Simpley Tina focuses on Tina Turner's life's work for over five decades. The Udonaut & the panic group provides a tribute to Udo Lindenberg. In addition to these concerts, there is also a special focus on the younger spectators: from July 15, the Berlin children's theater Pippi Longstocking will return to the open -air stage in 22 performances.

This staging celebrates 80 years of Pippi Longstocking and 20 years of the summer family theater series of the "Redesdecker" in Berlin. Berliner Kindertheater emphasizes that the idea for children between the ages of around 4 to 9 is intended. The season is about 90 minutes, including a break, and promises numerous adventures and encounters with different characters. The topics of friendship, wishes and adventures are the focus. Pippi Longstocking is known for her unique, powerful character and her motto: "I make the world as I like it!"

As a further highlight, a ballet recording by Peter Pan in cooperation with the children's music theater will be added to the season on June 22. Particular attention is also paid to the series "Free & Outside", which will continue to take place on Sunday morning.
