In the early hours of today, November 18, 2025, the police in Berlin-Mitte were called to a violent incident on Am Nordbahnhof street. According to the Berlin police There was an argument between two men aged 28 and 40. The incident escalated when the 40-year-old first pulled out a blank gun and shot the 28-year-old in the face.
After the blank gun apparently wasn't enough to end the argument, the 40-year-old pulled out a knife and inflicted a cut on the 28-year-old's face. The police quickly arrived at the scene and arrested the drunken attacker. The 28-year-old suffered both a gunshot wound to the face and a cut to his lower jaw as a result of the attack. Medical attention was required on site before he was taken to hospital for treatment.

The blank gun was found near the crime scene and seized. The 40-year-old refused to test his breath alcohol, whereupon the Berlin public prosecutor ordered a blood sample. After the identification measures were carried out and the blood was taken, he was released from custody.
