The dream of emigrating-that is the central theme of the popular VOX program "Goodbye Germany!". Here couples, families and adventurers dare to look for their happiness under the sun and palm trees. The problems for VOX do not end with "Goodbye Germany". The action film "Peppermint - Angel of Vengeance", which was broadcast after the documentary, cut off even worse in the same target group at only 3.3 percent. In contrast, the public broadcasters, especially the ZDF and the ARD, were able to record significant success on Friday evening and secured quotas. These figures show that VOX urgently needs to develop new strategies to get out of the quotas.
After all, there was a ray of hope: the cooking show "The Perfect Dinner" reached 9.1 percent market share in front of the Hauptlagers, which could indicate a certain interest of the spectators in more varied food. Another review of the market shares of VOX in recent years shows that the broadcaster has not yet completed the hoped-for upswing in the overall observation of the odds, as well as Statista documented. The insight that the industry is subject to constant change and the competitive pressure is immense is a challenge for VOX that needs to be mastered in the coming weeks.
