The district office Pankow focuses on the traffic transition in various neighborhoods. Traffic counts in these quarters between Gdansk Greifswald and Kniprodestrasse form the basis for future measures.
An important focus is on the participation of the residents. From September 4 to October 5, 2024, everyone has the opportunity to bring in their needs and ideas in an online survey on Mein.Berlin.de. In addition, the participation team will be on site to capture a mood of the neighborhood in personal conversations.
The planned participation formats in the library on the water tower from September 18 are particularly interesting. On this day, the planning team provides information about the projects and presents first results. Here, concerns can be introduced directly, and there is even the possibility to take part in a business game. In open consultation hours on September 24th and October 1st and a special event for children and adolescents on September 25th, participation in the planning will be further supported.
The implementation of the traffic concepts for all three neighborhoods is planned for spring 2025. These concepts are developed in cooperation with the residents and teams of experts. The goal is to restrict the car passage in the residential quarters and to make the streets more livable.
