New language courses at the VHS Reinickendorf: Try them out now!
The adult education center (VHS) Reinickendorf is expanding its range of courses and starting new courses in all program areas in autumn 2025. This gives the district's citizens the opportunity to deepen their language skills in more than 21 languages. On September 26th, the European Day of Languages, there will also be free trial courses that offer a first insight into different languages.
The trial courses, each lasting 45 minutes, not only give participants an initial contact with the target language, but also the opportunity to get to know the course leaders. These courses are offered both in person and online to meet the different needs of participants.
Details about the courses
Face-to-face courses take place in the halls at Borsigturm, Am Borsigturm 6 in Berlin, and offer a varied program:
- Koreanisch: Freitag, 9:00-9:45 Uhr (Re4114-H)

The offers come against the background that the Reinickendorf district, with its approximately 80,700 inhabitants, offers a variety of opportunities for learning the English language. European Day of Languages
The European Day of Languages, celebrated annually on September 26th, promotes multilingualism in over 40 European countries. This event, initiated by the Council of Europe in 2001, is coordinated by the European Foreign Language Center of the Council of Europe and the European Union. The aim is to support the 24 official languages of the EU as well as the 200 languages spoken in Europe.
EUNIC Berlin, in collaboration with the central and state libraries, the district libraries of Berlin and the representation of the European Commission in Germany, is conducting “mini language courses” on the two days, which are specifically aimed at primary school students. In recent years, over 1,000 children have taken part in these language courses, which are known as “language pools” and play an important role in language development.
