Music festival in Reinickendorf: Together for cultural diversity!
On September 28, 2025, a benefit concert took place in the Fontane-Haus, which was of great cultural importance. The Dutch "Luchmacht Mannenkoor" and the wind orchestra "The Hornetz" of the Reinickendorf music school performed to support projects for cultural education with their musical exchange. The concert was the crowning glory of a one-week series of events that devoted itself entirely to the music, as [berlin.de] (https://www.berlin.de/ba-reinickendorf/aktuelles/Pressemaytreichen/2025/Pressemage Department.1603318.php).
District City Councilor Harald Muschner (CDU) praised the initiative and emphasized the importance of such formats for cultural education and participation. The entire week from September 22nd to September 28th was marked by concerts, workshops and discussion forums on topics such as "open recording studio" and "DJ-Ing". Here, pupils as well as interested parties of all ages were able to attend and gain valuable experience.
Diversity of musical performances
Particularly noteworthy is the variety that the program series in the Fontane-Haus offered. A total of seven different programs were presented, including:
This variety of programs shows the broad commitment of teachers and students, as well as the support from cooperation partners. Many visitors expressed the desire to continue the festival, which indicates a positive response.
A sign of understanding
The benefit concert itself was a successful performance in which works from concert, entertainment and film music were performed. Among the pieces heard were classics such as "Daring men in their flying boxes" and "The Girl with the Flaxen Hair". The participants, under the direction of Rienus Oude Kempers and Gisela Meßollen, delighted the audience and set a sign of connecting understanding and peaceful cooperation, as https://landing.churchdesk.com/de/e/24299523/vivo-benefiz concert).
These cultural events are of great importance in Germany. According to a nationwide study on music festivals, they are not only important identity founders, but also promote social interactions and cultural diversity. They offer platforms for newcomers: inside and inside and often committed themselves for charitable purposes by also integrating educational formats, as the [Bundesstiftung LiveKultur reports.
The combination of traditional concert formats, innovative experiments and intercultural encounters shows how important the role of these festivals is for social cohesion. It is to be hoped that the positive experiences of the past week will lead to further joint projects that sustainably promote cultural education in the region.
