The repair of the ventilation system is expected to cost one million euros and the financing has not yet been secured. Katrin Vietzke from the Senate Department for Mobility said that the entire ventilation system must be renewed in the medium term, which, however, depends on the availability of funds.

The situation is frustrating for the Berlin road users because they have to adjust to diversions indefinitely. The hope remains that the tunnel can soon be released for normal traffic, but until then the drivers have to be patient.
