Die Bezirksbürgermeisterin von Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, informierte kürzlich über die Teilnahme des vom Bezirksamt Mitte und Bezirksamt Pankow geförderten Projekts PLATTE.BERLIN an einer Delegationsreise nach New York City. Organisiert im Rahmen des Fashion Forward Networks vom Fashion Council Germany und begleitet durch den Staatssekretär der Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe, Michael Biel, sollte die Reise dazu dienen, die internationale Modewelt zu erkunden, neue Netzwerke zu knüpfen und die Sichtbarkeit der deutschen Modeindustrie auf globaler Ebene zu erhöhen. The district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, recently informed about the participation of the project, which was funded by the district office in Mitte and District Office Pankow, on a delegation trip to New York City. Organized as part of the Fashion Forward Networks Fashion Council Germany and accompanied by the State Secretary of the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Companies, Michael Biel, should serve the journey to explore the international fashion world, to establish new networks and to increase the visibility of the German fashion industry at a global level.

During the delegation trip, Ann Franke, project manager of Platte.Berlin and Sevil Ugg, founding member of the project had the opportunity to take part in exclusive events, including networking events, industry talks and inspiring presentations. These activities made it possible to present the Project Platte.Berlin international fashion experts and to establish cooperation with international partner organizations.

In addition, the delegation attended various fashion companies and innovation centers in New York to gain insights into the latest trends and developments in the industry.

The trip was an important way to present the innovative concepts and designs of Platte.Berlin to a wider audience and to consolidate the position of Berlin as a creative center of the fashion world. Through this network trip, the project was not only able to strengthen its own brand, but also make diversity and creativity as well as the unique sales position of the Berlin fashion scene internationally visible. This underlines the importance and success of district funding initiatives for innovative pilot projects such as Platte.Berlin to strengthen the Berlin creative industries.
