Children's bike fun in Moabit: pump track and course for sustainable mobility!
The Moabiter weeks of mobility offer a variety of activities for children, pupils and young people until September 20, 2024 to experience sustainable mobility in Moabit. The program focuses on promoting the joy of cycling and improving traffic safety. A special highlight is the mobile pump track, a circuit with hills, which promises driving fun for young and old.
The event is organized by various organizations such as the BegSpo-Berlin Society for Health through Sport, the Kurt Tucholsky Elementary School, the Otto Spielplatz (Moabiter Ratschlag), the "Quartier Moabit-Ost active against climate change", the scientific and cultural educational association Moabit and other partners. The event is funded by the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment.
The mobility weeks take place in various locations in Moabit, including the Kurt Tucholsky primary school and Otto Square with a bicycle course and pump track for children. There are also campaign days related to sustainable mobility, traffic safety and health. A special highlight is the bicycle repair service through the turning point and a greeting from Christopher Schriner, the district councilor for order, environment, nature, streets and green spaces in the district of Berlin.
Thomas Büttner, coordinator of the Moabit Education Association, is available for further information and registration from daycare centers. For media inquiries, contact the press office of the Mitte district at press@ba-mitte.berlin.de.
