On Sunday, November 30, 2024, historical enthusiasts can go on an exciting journey of discovery through Moabit together with historian Trille Schünke-Bettinger. This city tour illuminates the moving stories of women who have both persecuted and provided resistance during the National Socialism period. The fate of Mathilde Jacob, a close confidante of Rosa Luxemburg, is particularly moving. The path leads to significant places, right up to the Moabit Güterbahnhof memorial, the largest deportation station in Berlin at the Nazi era. An urgent walk into the past!
The Mitte Museum on December 1, 2024 ensures a duly conclusion to the exhibition with a finissage that includes film documentaries and book presentations. This farewell is opened by Marianne Liebknecht, the daughter of the artist, and offers the audience the opportunity to immerse yourself in a profound discussion. The highlight will be the film screening "Escape", which clearly portrays the difficult life paths of those persecuted by the Nazi regime.

From December 6, 2024, the Mitte Museum starts a very special special exhibition: "Wall metamorphoses. The Berlin Wall 1979 until today". On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Berlin photographer Gottfried Schenk shows impressive works that document the overcoming and reduction of the terrible building. The opening will take place on December 5, 2024 and is also free of charge for everyone interested.
