Education Association Urban Arts presents results on the topic of 'Caring City'

Die Bezirksbürgermeisterin von Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, hat heute bekannt gegeben, dass vom 28. Juni bis zum 04. Juli in der OTTO-Halle des Hauses der Statistik am Alexanderplatz die Ergebnisse und Prozesse des Bildungsverbunds Urbane Künste ERbeLEBEN präsentiert werden. Seit 2018 lädt das Netzwerk Kinder und Jugendliche aus Schulen in Berlin-Mitte ein, sich gemeinsam mit Künstler*innen und Architekt*innen kreativ und kritisch mit Stadtentwicklung auseinanderzusetzen. In diesem Jahr hatten die Schüler*innen das Thema „Caring City“ und beschäftigten sich in ihren Projekten mit der Förderung zwischenmenschlicher Fürsorge in einer gemeinwohlorientierten Stadt. The district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, announced today that from June 28th to July 4th in the Otto Hall of Statistics on Alexanderplatz, the results and processes of the Education Association Urban Arts will be presented. Since 2018, the network has been inviting children and adolescents from schools in Berlin-Mitte to deal with urban development together with artists and architects creatively and critically. This year the students had the topic of "Caring City" and dealt with the promotion of interpersonal care in a common good in a common good in their projects. Education Association Urban Arts presents results on the topic of 'Caring City'

The district mayor of Mitte, Stefanie Remlinger, announced today that the results and processes of the Education Association Urban Künste will be presented in the Otto Hall of the Statistics House from June 28 to July 4th. Since 2018, the network has been inviting children and adolescents from schools in Berlin-Mitte to deal with urban development together with artists and architects creatively and critically. This year the pupils had the topic of "Caring City" and dealt in their projects with the promotion of interpersonal care in a common good.

The artists involved and architect are Club Real, José Contreras, Leicy Valenzuela, Lukas Rosier, Modjgan Hashemian, Paula Vidal, Raúl Bastida, Rubén González, Valeria Germain and Valeria Schwarz. The partner schools include the Evangelical School Berlin-Mitte, the Evangelical School Berlin Center, the primary school Neue Gate, the John-Lennon-Gymnasium, the Max Planck High School, the Theodor Heuss Community School and the Froebel Kita in the middle of it.

The Education Association of Urban Artists Erleben by Icollective e.V. is coordinated and artistically guided, in cooperation with Zulark on behalf of the art, culture and history of the Mitte district. The event is supported by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family as well as the outside city.

The exhibition takes place in the House of Statistics, Otto Halle, Otto-Braun-Straße 70-72, 10178 Berlin. The opening is on June 28, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the opening times are Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A KO-Markt will take place on Wednesday, July 3rd. On Saturday, June 29th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be a tour of the exhibition as part of the Architecture Day
