Inclusion in focus: RegioTalk Berlin discusses opportunities for companies!

The 31st RegioTalk of the Berlin Südwest regional incubator will take place in Berlin on September 9, 2025. This event has the theme “Working without barriers – How companies benefit from inclusion” and starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Blindenhilfswerk Berlin, Lepsiusstraße 117, 12165 Berlin. The initiative aims to discuss the opportunities of inclusion for companies and at the same time promote the removal of existing barriers. Berlin.de reports that the event will be moderated by Juri Effenberg.

The guests include Tim Richter, district councilor for community services, social affairs, education and culture in Steglitz-Zehlendorf, as well as Myrhia Butenholz, consultant for project management and accessibility at the Berlin Blind Aid Organization. Joachim Hampel, job coach and managing director of Wendel gGmbH, and Theo Jannet, consultant at the single point of contact for employers, will also be present. These experts bring valuable perspectives on the topic of inclusion in the labor market.

Pre-event “District of the Senses”

Before the main part of the event, the preliminary event “District of the Senses” will take place at 5:00 p.m. Here 20 participants can gain practical experience about the challenges faced by people with visual impairments. This interactive experience is intended to raise awareness of the concerns of people with disabilities and strengthen understanding of accessibility.

Anyone interested has until September 4th to register for RegioTalk. Registration takes place via email to regionalinkubator@ba-sz.berlin.de. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 50 people, with participation allocated based on the registration date. The event is free of charge, but there is a note regarding accessibility: A steep staircase with around 50 steps leads between the event room and the location of the previous event.

For further information, the regional incubator's homepage is available: www.regionalinkubator.de. The integration of people with disabilities into the labor market remains one of the key challenges of today, and this event aims to make an important contribution to this.
