Helios Clinics: A strong statement for diversity at the Berlin Christopher Street Day

The Helios Clinics have made a clear sign of diversity and acceptance by taking part in this year's Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Berlin with their own truck. Under the motto "With the goal in mind we are all the same", around 150 employees from eleven clinics of the Helios Region Ost were there to celebrate and demonstrate together with the LGBTQAI+ community. Participation in this great event is another important signal for visibility and acceptance.

In the Helios Region Ost, diversity is an integral part of everyday life. As a provider of healthcare services, the company has always been committed to recognition, appreciation and tolerance at the workplace. These values ​​are lived in the operating room, in the waiting area and at the stations alike. Prof. Sebastian Heumüller, regional manager of the Helios Region Ost emphasizes the undisputed priority of diversity in the company.

Elf Helios Clinics from Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt have also set a loud and colorful sign of diversity and acceptance. They were there with their own truck at this year's CSD in Berlin. Under the motto "Only strong together. For democracy and diversity", more than 75 paradeprucks moved through the streets of the capital. The employees: Inside the Helios Clinics celebrated and demonstrated together with the LGBTQAI+ community. In their speeches, they are clearly committed to diversity and spoke out against hate crime.

The participation of the Helios clinics in this large event once again shows the commitment to inclusion, diversity, integration, gender equality, gendarian fold, interculturality and ecologically environmentally friendly processes. These values ​​strengthen living together and cooperation.

The Helios Clinics and the CSD also share the concerns of sustainability. Helios has the goal of reducing its direct and indirect CO2 emissions by half by 2040. The company supports the commitment of the Berlin CSDS to tackle the garbage problem at major events. For example, the tarpaulin of the previous year was recycled and converted into pockets. When designing this year's truck, attention was also paid to the use of recyclable and environmentally friendly materials.

The Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch is a modern hospital of maximum care with over 1,000 beds in more than 60 clinics, institutes and specialized centers. Every year, more than 55,000 inpatient and over 144,000 outpatient patients are treated here. The clinic is certified as a "clinic for diabetics DDG" and as a vascular center.
