Major construction work on Clayallee: traffic diverted until December!
In Berlin, Clayallee is being redesigned in several construction phases to improve traffic conditions and optimize access to local facilities. As berlin.de reports, the construction work is divided into two main phases. The first construction phase took place from August 25th to October 8th, 2025 and covered the area between Auf dem Grat and Hüttenweg.
During this period, the southbound lane was completely closed. Traffic was diverted to the opposite lane. The Clayallee/Hüttenweg junction was also closed, which led to a diversion via Onkel-Tom-Straße and Argentinische Allee. Despite the construction work, the BVG regular service was retained, but the “Hüttenweg” bus stop in the north direction was eliminated and was moved to the south for the south direction; bus lines 115 and N10 were affected.
Continuation of the construction work
The second construction phase runs from October 9th to December 18th, 2025 and affects the section of Clayallee between König-Luise-Straße and Auf dem Grat. Here, too, the southbound lane will be completely closed and traffic will be redirected to the opposite lane. BVG regular services will also be maintained during this phase.
In particular, the “Allied Museum” bus stops will be relocated on both sides towards the south for bus routes 115 and N10. In addition, the stop for the X83 line will be relocated to König-Luise-Straße and the stops for the lines
Security measures and traffic management
To ensure the safety of pedestrians, the existing stationary pedestrian traffic light on the ridge will be replaced by a temporary traffic light system. Furthermore, access to the McDonald's will be ensured via temporary central island crossings. Bicycle and pedestrian traffic remains unaffected by the measures, so that they can continue to pass safely.
These extensive construction measures are intended to sustainably improve the infrastructural conditions in the area and create the conditions for future-oriented traffic management.
