Heilbronn, 14.10.2024. An exciting adventure for young scientists has started! In the Experimenta Science Center, a group of 16 talented students meets today to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of satellite technology and strawening. A five -day camp that not only makes the head but also the heart of the participants jump!

from today until October 18, the young people have the unique opportunity to learn everything about the secrets of space! During these action-packed days, you will decipher the functionality of satellites and find out which incredible information can collect these floating high-tech scientists over our earth.

exciting workshops and practical experiments

In a series of interactive workshops, things get down to business! The students will not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but also active themselves: they build antennas to receive weather data directly from NOAA satellites. Imagine creating your own weather pictures - that's exactly what you can expect! In addition, the topics of the workshops will be as diverse and exciting that the time goes by as if in a flight:

  • Physical basics of multi -spectral remote sensing - how satellites can "see" the earth!
  • geoinformation system QGIS - digital technology for the earth!
  • Satellite electronics: How are data saved and transmitted?
  • Multi-spectral data analysis-what do we say to us Landsat- und Sentinel-2 data?
  • orbital mechanics in the Orbiter Space Simulator - off to the space!
  • energy supply from solar cells - solar power for the future!

The participating schools are a colorful mix of different federal states and they bring together the best heads! Here are some of the schools that represent the young people:
