Colorful summer festival in Kreuzberg: fun for the whole family!
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the colorful summer festival of the Else-U-family library will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. District Mayor Clara Herrmann invites all families and children to visit the event in the back yard of Glogauer Straße 13 in Berlin Kreuzberg. The back yard is located near the sports field and the community garden and offers a nice setting for this happy event. Admission is free and no registration is required, such as https://www.berlin.de/ba-friedrichshain-kreuzberg/aktuelles/pressemaytreungen/2025/Pressemage department.
The program offers a variety of activities, including a reading by the Berlin children's book author Fee Krämer from her new work "Giselala and Flupp". This reading takes place at 4 p.m. and promises to take the little listeners into the magical world of history. It deals with the patent of Ms. Giselala and a bottle spirit who has to fulfill wishes before his exam. Fee Krämer, born in Heidelberg in 1984 and now alive in Berlin, has made a name for itself with several children's books and is committed to valuable time together between parents and their children, as well as [free-in-berlin.de
diverse actions for children
In addition to the reading, creative workshops are planned for children, in which the little visitors can design fridge magnets and badges. A children's flea market also offers the opportunity to sell or exchange toys, books and clothes. The little hunger is taken care of; Ice is sold and guests can relax in the green. The event also offers the opportunity to spend time together, play and exchange ideas.
A special highlight is the pop-up else, a temporary library that was created in the back yard of Hochsee containers and recycled furniture. It not only offers a media loan, but also event areas and access to the community garden that makes the festival a place of encounter.
An important contribution to children's culture in Berlin
