On October 23, 2025, a special event will take place in the Pablo Neruda District Central Library in Berlin: the book launch by Mareike Barmeyer. Her new work entitled "Run, Mom, Run! Mareike Barmeyer, who was born in Munich in 1973, studied sociology in Great Britain and received her doctorate in this field. In addition to her work as an author, she is also a lecturer in qualitative research methods at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. In her free time, Barmeyer, who now lives in Berlin and has two children, is also a co-founder of the Rocket 2000 reading stage. Her experiences as a mother flow significantly into her stories.
