Yesterday morning the peace and quiet in a clinic in Schöneberg was brutally disturbed! A 19-year-old injured herself with a piece of broken glass around 11:20 a.m. and then threatened the hospital staff. When the alert police arrived, they asked the young woman to put down the dangerous shard. But she ignored the warning! The officers were forced to use a distance electrical impulse device (DEIG).
Only after using the DEIG could the aggressive patient be arrested – without resistance. She remained in hospital while the investigation was taken over by a specialized police department from Police Department 4 (South). An eyewitness reported a tense situation that quickly escalated.
