In a shocking robbery in Berlin, a 28-year-old was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital. The brutal attack occurred late in the evening on Baruther Strasse, where the victim and his companion were involved in an argument with two previously unknown perpetrators. An attacker pulled out a knife and the situation escalated dramatically. At Mehringdamm, the man was beaten to the ground, restrained in a stranglehold and kicked several times in the face.
The robbers stole several valuables from the victim and fled to Baruther Strasse. Emergency doctors rescued the injured young man, who was taken to hospital with a facial fracture. Despite an extensive deployment of police and helicopters, the perpetrators have so far remained undetected. A specialist commissioner from Police Department 5 has started the investigation in order to stop the perpetrators.
