In Wilmersdorf there was a dramatic traffic accident last night! A police operator that drove Berliner Strasse with special rights collided with a car around 6:50 p.m. The 61-year-old driver of Uhlandstrasse apparently noticed the approaching car too late, which led to a violent collision. The police car crashed into a traffic light mast, and two police officers suffered bruises on the shoulder and knee. They had to be treated in the hospital on an outpatient basis and then stepped down from the service.
Fortunately, the 61-year-old driver was unharmed, but Berliner Straße towards Bundesallee and the right turn of Uhlandstrasse were closed until around 7:30 p.m. The specialist commissioner for traffic offenses of police department 1 (north) has started the investigation to clarify further details.
