Two handbag snatchers were arrested in Wilhelmstadt after they attacked a 77-year-old woman. The senior citizen remained uninjured.

In a dramatic operation in Wilhelmstadt last night, two suspected handbag robbers were caught! At around 8:40 p.m., the perpetrators pushed a 77-year-old woman to the ground and brutally ripped her handbag away. Fortunately, the elderly woman was uninjured and was able to quickly alert the police together with two witnesses.
The emergency services reacted quickly and shortly afterwards arrested a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old nearby. During the arrest, the officers found the lady's wallet, which the robbers had with them, and received information about the whereabouts of the stolen bag. Both suspects now had to identify themselves in police custody and will be brought before an investigating judge today, who will decide on possible arrest warrants. The investigation is in the hands of a specialist commissioner from Police Directorate 2 (West).
