Major drug raid in Berlin: Police strike against cocaine trafficking!
Around 70 police forces carried out a large-scale strike against drug crime in Berlin and Brandenburg on Tuesday morning. On the orders of the public prosecutor, several residential and business premises in Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg, Charlottenburg as well as in Kleinmachnow and Schönefeld were searched. Investigators are targeting a 50-year-old man who is suspected of dealing cocaine and marijuana on a large scale between March and July 2020.
The search revealed valuable evidence, including data storage devices, a mysterious, encrypted cell phone as well as four-figure cash and a luxurious wristwatch - but no drugs were found. The suspect was caught during an arrest in Berlin-Charlottenburg, and the outstanding arrest warrant was immediately executed by a judge. The investigation continues.
