Berlin cooks over: Existing violence in protests in the Middle East conflict!
On Thursday, the Berlin police, with around 300 emergency services, took a close look at several meetings for the Middle East conflict in the districts of Mitte, Wedding and Tiergarten. While many participants peacefully lived out their freedom of assembly, there were massive disorders from some groups that committed the police and committed crimes.
Four people - two women and one man - were arrested at noon after they had spilled red color at the Federal Foreign Office. Despite the dismissal, they returned a little later and were arrested again, with a woman resisting resistance. At Alexanderplatz, up to 800 people gathered at times, where there were multiple disorders and acts of violence. Pyrotechnics were ignited, streets blocked and attacks on the police forces were carried out, which led to injuries to ten civil servants.
The emergency services had to arrest 80 people in total. The arrested allegations such as the breach of the peace, resistance and assault on enforcement officers are faced. Despite the riots, a permitted rally on Leopoldplatz could be ended without further incidents in the evening.
