New area fund for common good -oriented projects in Köpenick

The district office Treptow-Köpenick informs about the establishment of a area fund as part of the urban development measure of the former freight station in Köpenick and its immediate surroundings. In 2024, the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Living provides 30,000 euros for common good -oriented projects that are intended to promote the coexistence between residents and new residents in the planned new city district.

The area fund is intended to serve to support community projects such as district festivals, cultural activities, planting campaigns or intermediate use on suitable areas. Individuals, traders, associations, social -cultural institutions and property owners from the electoral area of ​​the area advisory board can apply for funding of up to EUR 5,000 per project.

The projects must be implemented and billed within a calendar year. Applications can be submitted to the Senate Department by May 13, 2023. The selection and evaluation of the project applications are made on the basis of strategic goals such as the activation and participation of the citizens, the identification and networking as well as the creation of impulses and sustainability.
