On Wednesday evening, October 9, 2024, Berlin was like a real festival for travel fans! The largest online travel magazine in Germany, Travelbook, awarded the coveted Travelbook Award for the third time the most exciting trend travel destinations in the coming season. The best locations are clearly in the spotlight here, while an expert jury and the voices of the audience choose the most exciting hotspots from Germany, Austria and Switzerland!
The grand finale produced fascinating winners who redefine travel!
The best travel destinations have been determined!
The jury was impressed and looked where the next trip should lead! The spectacular region northern Spain prevailed in the category "Best travel destination for a road trip". Chief editor Nuno Alves from Book Family emphasizes: "The north of Spain offers a gigantic diversity for a road trip. From the picturesque mountain landscapes to the untouched Atlantic beaches, there is an unforgettable experience for every traveler!"
In the "National Park" category, the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park referred all other natural paradise to the places. "The Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea is a unique natural wonder that the jury convinced so much that it even left the other German national parks behind," explains Angelika Pickardt, editor-in-chief at Travelbook.

Special attention was also paid to the heart goals! In the audience voting, the best small towns in Germany, Austria and Switzerland were coordinated. With a sensational result: Monschau in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany), Kufstein in Tirol (Austria) and Locarno in Tessin (Switzerland) were able to win heart and voices. A total of 22,000 votes were cast and made this competition exciting!

For over 405 days he traveled for his love through countries that many would consider impossible! With irresistible naivety, open eyes and incredible courage, he explored endangered corners such as Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan and shared his adventurous experience with an audience of millions!
