MUVA service now also available in Tempelhof-Schöneberg
The district office Tempelhof-Schöneberg is committed to the availability of the MUVA service of the Berlin Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) to improve the mobility of people with disabilities in the district. This measure was made possible by two decisions of the district assembly. District Mayor Jörn Oltmann is happy about the introduction of the Muva service and emphasizes the significant improvement for people with disabilities. The chairwoman of the advisory board of and for people with disabilities, Katja Daus, is also pleased with the new mobility options of the Muva service.
The BVG MUVA service offers mobility guarantee if elevators are not available at U and S-Bahn stations. Since the beginning of June, further stations in the city-Süd urban area have been connected to the service. The barrier-free minibuses can now be used at a total of 62 Berlin U and S-Bahn stations to ensure continuously access to local transport. This is particularly helpful if elevators are defective or do not exist. The service can be booked via the "BVG Muva" app for Android or iOS or by phone.
The introduction of the Muva service in Tempelhof-Schöneberg is an important step towards inclusive mobility in local public transport. People with mobility restrictions can now achieve their goals easier and more reliably.
