Summer Challenge in Treptow: Children focus on reading and creativity!

The summer challenge of the Association of Berlin Public Libraries is taking place in Treptow-Köpenick for the first time this year, as berlin.de reports. The Alt-Treptow district library invites children aged 8 to 12 to take part in this exciting event. The Summer Challenge aims to encourage young participants to discover reading, listening and filmmaking as entertaining activities.

As part of the challenge, children can borrow books, audio books or films from the library. For every book read, audio book listened to or film watched, the children receive a stamp in their personal Summer Challenge stamp book. But the challenge goes even further: in order to receive a stamp, the children also have to complete a creative task using the following app, Digiclass, on a tablet, which makes participation even more exciting.

Diverse opportunities to participate

In addition, children are also rewarded with a stamp for participating in library summer holiday events or weekly club meetings. All of these activities are intended to stimulate children's creative potential and give them the joy of reading and listening. A special feature of the challenge is the media, which is clearly marked with a summer challenge sticker.

Registration for the Summer Challenge is now open, encouraging parents and children to register early at the library. In order to take part, it is important to hand in the stamp booklet at the Alt-Treptow district library by September 13th.
