Refurbishment of the Hausoterplatz in Reinickendorf-Ost: new paths, green areas and fitness equipment

The road and green space office in Reinickendorf-Ost began renovating the household ground. The place, named after the landowner Karl Hausotter, is extensively upgraded. The road surfaces are revised, lawns are newly sown and delimited with a low -growing hedge. In addition, twelve parking benches, of which eight with armrests, wastebasket, fitness equipment and multifunctional platforms, are installed. A special attraction will be the approximately 10 meter wide and colorful perennial bed in the middle of the square, which is planted with a variety of perennial perennials.

The district councilor Julia Schrod-Thiel emphasizes that these measures significantly increase the quality of stay of the house-protected place and thus represents an enrichment for the neighborhood. The work should be completed by autumn 2024, so that the residents of Reinickendorf-Ost can soon benefit from the new amenities.

The design and care of green spaces in the city has a long tradition that goes back to the 19th century. Parks and places are important relaxation rooms for city dwellers and contribute to the quality of life. The revitalization of the House Obererplatz is therefore an important step to improve the urban environment and to promote the sense of community in Reinickendorf-Ost.

A table with information on similar projects in other districts of Berlin or to comparable parking renovations could show how important green space care is for urban development as a whole and what positive effects such measures can have on the quality of life of the residents.
