Die Frist zur Einreichung von Anträgen für den Kiezfonds wurde bis zum 30. Mai 2024 verlängert. Es stehen insgesamt 40.000 Euro aus der Bezirkskasse zur Verfügung, um den sozialen Zusammenhalt und den Umweltschutz in den Kiezen zu stärken. The Kiezfonds aims to promote volunteering and strengthen the cohesion in the residential areas. The projects should promote neighborly cohesion or improve the living environment. Certain districts, such as Reinickendorf West and East, and the Märkische Viertel, were named for funding this year.

Part of the funds, namely 10,000 euros, is specially intended for environmental protection projects. Unused funds are made available to other projects. The financial support for local social projects and environmental protection projects can be between 500 and 2,000 euros and must be issued by the end of the year.

Interested parties can submit their project ideas by May 30, 2024 either by email to spk@reinickendorf.berlin.de or by post to the Reinickendorf district office. Every institution, association or local group may only make one application. If you have any questions, the colleagues of the social space -oriented planning coordination are available.

It is important that the projects make a contribution to strengthening social cohesion or promote environmental protection. The extension of the deadline offers interested parties more time to submit their creative project ideas for funding.
