Ceremonial opening of the Borsigwalde district center: A new meeting point for the neighborhood

A new meeting point for all Berlin hearts has another chapter! The Borsigwalde district center was opened today with a grand festival in front of Ziekowstraße 114. The ninth district center is now in the heart of the fox district, which is a symbol of cohesion and neighborhood! District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner from the CDU did not miss the opportunity to give the numerous present their best wishes: "Thank you to everyone who helped to create this attractive, new meeting place for all people from the neighborhood in Borsigwalde and Tegel."

Seniors can look forward to special programs such as cell phone help and reading hours in cooperation with schools. For the parents there are fathers and homework help in the afternoon. The first "culinary encounter" as part of the intercultural weeks has already shown how important shared experiences are with good food. Different cultures meet here and thus strengthen cooperation.

The Borsigwalde district center is operated by Immanuel Advice Reinickendorf and is a valuable component in the district's social infrastructure. Volunteers have actively built furniture and thus created a room that offers space for social counseling as well as educational and family counseling. This project is supported by the infrastructure funding program district centers (IFP), which aims to promote social and cultural work in the area.
