Quantum celebrates the topping -out ceremony for over 200 apartments in Hamburg HafenCity

An important milestone was reached when Quantum Immobilien AG celebrated the topping -out ceremony for the Neuhavn residential area in Hamburg HafenCity. The neighborhood was acquired from Berlin almost a year ago by a club of professional pension funds. Around 300 guests took part in the event, including Hamburg's urban development senator Karen Pein. The district development is still fully on schedule and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

The Neuhavn residential area extends over an area of ​​around 20,500 m² and comprises over 200 modern rental apartments, which are realized according to the designs of Fletcher Priest Architects and DFZ architects. In addition, there are approx. 3,800 m² usable area for offices, catering and shops as well as spacious green areas and playgrounds. The Loki Schmidt Foundation has already signed a long -term rental agreement for a 600 m² office space. A warfish with an exhibition area will also be part of the neighborhood.

Sustainability and diversity are the central focus of the project. Almost half of the new apartments are publicly funded and the entire development has been awarded the Hafencity Environmental Signs Platin. The first residents can probably move in at the beginning of 2025.

The Neuhavn district is in an attractive location in HafenCity with direct access to the water. It is part of the smart mobility concept of the eastern HafenCity and offers a good public transport connection, an expanded bicycle infrastructure and car sharing opportunities. The district will include almost 500 bicycle parking spaces and an underground car park with 80 car parking spaces and ten car sharing parking spaces.
